The Lighthouse Church Provides Lunches For Over A Thousand Frontline Healthcare Workers In Houston
Houston, Texas: May 7, 2020 -- The Lighthouse Church of Houston is honoring frontline healthcare workers who are working during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing them with meals during National Nurses and Hospital Week.
The initiative starts during National Nurses Week, where both Lighthouse West and South campuses will sponsor hundreds of lunches for nurses at Memorial Hermann Katy. All Lighthouse Church of Houston campuses are providing lunches for nurses at Avenue 360 Health & Wellness, which provides holistic medical care for a significant amount of at risk communities.
To celebrate National Hospital Week May 10-16, The Lighthouse Church is supplying lunches for the entire staff at Memorial Hermann Northeast.
Senior Pastor, Keion Henderson says "It is important to pour into our frontline healthcare workers especially during such a vulnerable time. Providing meals is one less worry for them during their shift. If we can make their lives easier for even just a moment, it is worth it. Many of our congregants are in the medical field and actually work at Memorial Hermann Northeast. We are thankful to be able to serve them at this time."
Entrepreneur and Executive Producer, Shaunie O'Neal is partnering with The Lighthouse Church to aid in providing over one-thousand meals for frontline workers. "As frontline workers put their lives at risk for us, it is important to me to show a token of appreciation and gratitude for everything they have done and continue to do daily," says Shaunie.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, The Lighthouse Church has provided several thousand grab and go meals to families in the Houston area and will continue to be a resource to help families in need.
