Megachurch Expands to FortBend County
HOUSTON- Aug. 28, 2019—Keion Henderson, Senior Pastor of the Lighthouse Church of Houston, is expanding the organization into the Fort Bend County area. The new campus Lighthouse South recently opened its doors on July 14th to the diverse families in area. The expansion will be celebrated on September 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, accompanied by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and other city officials at 16305 Kensington Dr. Sugarland, Tx. 77479.
The church stands on the foundation of five pillars,
Anticipation, Atmosphere, Acceptance, Authenticity, and Action. "The Fort Bend County area represents values we are also known for, such as their friendliness, family-based culture, and goodwill," Henderson said.
The Lighthouse Church serves 10,000 congregants each week through multiple satellite campuses and online memberships. The megachurch embodies five generations of members within multiple countries around the world.
Throughout many outreach efforts, the Lighthouse Church has served more than 200,000 meals in the local community and led disaster aid initiatives in Texas. The multiple campuses in the Houston area provide their church-goers with complimentary childcare during service times and they also hold a support group called "Living Optimistic On Purpose" for parents with special needs children, every third Wednesday of the month.
Lighthouse South welcomes the Fort Bend County community to join them every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. at 16305 Kensington Drive, Sugar Land, TX 77479.
